During the 3-month event, artists from home and abroad will put on various cultural shows and performances at the historic town.

The dance team simulates the imagined movements of the river spirit in a sinuous, undulating manner. The spectacular folk show can be traced back to the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).

About Huanglongxi Ancient Town
Huanglongxi Ancient Town, with a history of over 2,100 years, about 50 km away from downtown Chengdu in China's Sichuan Province, is named after the Huanglong River which flows through it. The town has been restored well to retain its rustic charm, with ancient cobbled streets, temples, and wharves and houses along its curving alleys. Most of the current buildings in Huanglongxi can date back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
