Hi, I should flag that Shaolin Temple and the Longmen Grottoes are in Henan, a few hours from Xi'an, so both together can't be done as a one-day trip. The clean way is a base in Luoyang for a day covering Longmen plus Shaolin, or a long one-way day to Shaolin. For 10 people I'd arrange a minibus with a guide. I've emailed both routes with timing and pricing to compare.
