The monastery is comprised of two main sections: the Upper and Lower Huayan Monastery. Built for the thirteenth son of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, the screen features nine majestic, intricately detailed dragons, each symbolizing power and protection. The vibrant, glazed tiles showcase a stunning array of colors and patterns, illustrating the exceptional craftsmanship of the era.
