In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby or Xian train station, you will find a welcome signage "Xian Private Tour" and then starts your one day Xian International Ceramic Art Museum Sightseeing Tour & Pottery-Making Class.
Firstly drive from Xi'an to Fuping Ceramic Art Village, Fuping Ceramic Art Village, located 75km northeast of Xi'an, is composed by Fule International Ceramic Art Museums, pottery workshops, a hotel and orchards. The rich resources of china clay around the ceramic village make it possible for artists and pottery fans to create their ceramic works. The orchard, with an area of a thousand acre, bearing apples, pears, peaches, apricots, grapes, plums, pomegranates, cherry and dates in different seasons, gives funs for people to enjoy picking up and eating fresh fruits.
During a brief tour of the village, learn about the art of pottery-making and its place in the history of the area. Your guide then takes you to the Fule International Ceramic Art Museum, which showcases over 10,000 pieces of pottery over 8 exhibition halls. The fist built modern artistic ceramic museum in China, includes a main museun hall, ten other museums of different countries and regions, a Documentary Museum, and workshops. It exhibits around 10 thousand modern ceramic works done by over 500 artists from 50 countries and regions and most of them are made right at the village.
After the sightseeing, your lunch will be arrange at the designal restaurant.
In the afternoon, head to the local Ceramics Experience Hall for the chance to create a ceramic masterpiece yourself. A skilled instructor shows you how to throw clay on a wheel, offering tips and tricks as you carefully sculpt a smooth bowl or vase. At the end of the lesson, you can take your unfired work home with you as a unique souvenir. Spend some time roaming through the orchards of Fuping and tasting fresh fruits before your day comes to an end with transportation back to Xi'an.
