Background

Xi'an Concert Hall will be officially opened on September 28, 2009. Xi'an Concert Hall will build itself with a new concept of operation and management to create a more international vision for the future. Xi'an Concert Hall will introduce and promote international "classic, first-class" performances as the main industry, so that citizens can enjoy the world's top art without going abroad; at the same time, the concert hall as a public cultural facility will also focus on public cultural services, launched a variety of public performances, activities, so that more ordinary citizens to share the world's best Show culture achievements.

Construction & Design 

Symphony Hall
The main hall of the concert hall, the symphony hall, is constructed according to the international first-class professional standards. It is a professional venue for the performance of symphonies, folk music, light music and pop music. The symphony hall is decorated with wood and silver and white tones, which is tranquil, dignified and elegant. Acoustic design is the most important content of every concert hall. The acoustical design of Xi'an Concert Hall invites Marshall, the world famous acoustical master and the only Sabine Award winner who has been active in the design field so far. His representative works include Paris Opera House, Guangzhou Opera House and many other world famous cultural venues.

The acoustics of Xi'an Concert Hall was designed by Dr. Marshall himself, and all the data were strictly in accordance with the international first-class Concert Hall standards, striving to present the perfect auditory enjoyment for the audience.

The auditorium of the symphony hall has a pool seat and two storey blocks, with a total of 1303 seats. The auditorium is equipped with multiple entrances and exits, each of which is equipped with sound gates and light gates to avoid interference with the performance effect. Symphony hall performance stage mouth width 21m, depth 12m, effective use of the stage area of 204 square meters, for large-scale four-pipe Symphony Orchestra and 300 mixed chorus performance. The stage is equipped with two lifting platforms. When the Symphony Orchestra performs, the lifting platform rises out of the stage and forms a height difference between the front and back. 

At the same time, the lifting platform can also be used as a chorus platform. The lifting platform rises to the corresponding position with the rear audience seats and forms a chorus platform together with the audience seats. Over the platform hanging is the echo board, its main role is to effectively prevent the sound from disappearing from the stage, the sound reflects more to the auditorium, to ensure that the auditorium volume and sound clear.

Performance Hall
In addition to the symphony concert hall, Xi'an Concert Hall also has indoor concert hall and pop concert hall two small performance halls. The whole decoration of the pop hall is made of black metal mesh, which is in accordance with the style of pop music and modern music. The auditorium of pop hall has an inverted fan-shaped plane to ensure the best line of sight and sound field distribution. The audience seats are divided into two blocks, including 138 seats. Pop concert hall is also equipped with professional lighting, audio-visual equipment, mainly used for electro-acoustic band performance, pop band performance, original concert, Music Salon and other activities. 

Compared with the popular concert hall, the indoor concert hall is decorated with silvery white tones, quiet and fresh. Its architectural form is the same as the pop concert hall. The auditorium presents an inverted fan-shaped plane shape. The auditorium is divided into two floors, a pool seat and a building, totaling 138 seats. The indoor concert hall is mainly used for chamber music performance, solo solo and artist class.
