Background

The Hanyao Ruins Park is a famous tourist attraction in Xi'an, which records the loyal love stories of Wang Baochai and Xue Pinggui. The site was built in the late Qing Dynasty and has an ancestral temple of Wang Baochai. In the twenty-third year of the Republic of China, Sun Yilian, the mother of Yang Hucheng, donated money to repair it. In June 1984, the local township government invested in the construction and officially opened to tourists in February 28, 1985.

Legend

Wang Baochuan is suffering from cold kiln for eighteen years.

Legend has it that in the late Tang Dynasty, Wang Baochai, the third daughter of Wang Yun, the prime minister, threw a ball of embroidery on the embroidery tower to choose her son-in-law. As a result, Xue Pinggui, who was poor, was cast aside. When her family disliked poverty, loved wealth and firmly opposed it, she broke off the father-daughter relationship with her father and married Xue Pinggui on her own. She went to live in a cold kiln by the river bank in the south of the city.

Later, when Xue Pinggui was on a journey to the West for eighteen years, Wang Baochai kept a cold kiln and ate up all the shepherd's purse in the nearby fields without food. Eighteen years later, Xue Ping-gui returned from the war with great honor and met with Wang Baochai's Han Kiln and conferred Wang Baochai as the empress of the imperial palace. This is the story sung by the famous opera "five Dian Po". The audience finally looks forward to the two reunion of Xue Wang.
